Indie comic creators slash musicians Monica Velasquez (Rexxy) and Darby Kaighin-Shields bring their unique comic vision to East Side Mags blended with futuristic music to suit the narrative.

Futura tells the story of an alien girl from a distant logical planet who defies her parents and travels to Earth in search of true love. Raised on Earth rom-coms streamed through her cosmic console, she is convinced her soulmate is waiting for her on Earth. Landing in New York City, Futura navigates life as a newcomer trying to pass as human, fumbling and making friends in a city that never sleeps.

Blending Rexxy’s signature style of synth-pop music with vivid comic art, Futura is a love story for anyone who's ever chased a dream against the odds.
