The From the Abuelas' Window creative team is delighted to present a limited reading/song performance at the first SPARK Musical Theatre Festival. Our cast is fabulous. Somewhere in the Central Valley of Chile, a young girl's father is among the disappeared under the Pinochet dictatorship in 1973. Inspired by a gift from the magical abuelas, she joins the resistance, helping local prisoners escape, hoping someone somewhere does the same for her missing Papa. A story of hope and ordinary people fighting against an oppressive dictatorship. Join us! Adapted from the book of the same name by Nancy Burke.
