We are taking a scenic drive up to the Bald River Gorge Wilderness in the Cherokee National Forest to hike along one of the absolute best river corridors in Tennessee. Because parking at the actual trailhead is extremely tight, we are meeting in Chattanooga to carpool/caravan together. The full trail is a 9.3-mile out-and-back. Total distance is 9.3 Miles turning around after taking in the gorgeous upstream cascades and deep forest scenery. The path traces an old logging railway bed, providing a wonderful immersive experience next to the rushing river.
