About this event

Meditation Foundations for Everyone: A Daily Practice

Meditation classes for everyone with modern Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Norbu

Mondays, 7-8:30pm, August 24 - October 5 $15 for non-members/free with a membership

“Since inner peace is the source of all happiness, we can see how important meditation is.” - The New Meditation Handbook, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Do you meditate, or have you at least tried? More and more people are realizing that meditation is essential for our peace and happiness. A daily meditation practice doesn’t have to be difficult, and meditating doesn’t have to take a long time. (In fact, less might be more, so to speak, in the beginning).

In these classes, Gen Norbu will introduce the foundations of meditation practice. Each class will include at least one guided breathing meditation for ten or fifteen minutes, teachings, and at least one guided meditation on the teachings. Topics will include how to start training in meditation, as well as how to progress in meditation practice. Start at the beginning of the series if you can, but if you miss the beginning then start when you are able.
