Trombonist Ryan Keberle joins Urbem, a jazz band all the way from Campo Grande, Brazil, for an afternoon of music from Pantanal Jam, an original music and documentary project where nature is not the backdrop — it’s the composer.

Cicadas. Rain. Howler monkeys. Jaguar roars. These real-life sounds of the Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland – spanning Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay, were captured live and became the foundation of this contemporary jazz album recorded on site.

You can learn more about the project at www.pantanaljam.com.

November 7th’s program will also include songs from Keberle’s new album, Here Is Donato!, a tribute to the music of Brazilian jazz pianist João Donato, one of the most influential voices in Brazilian music.
