We are proud to announce the 16th Annual S.O.F.I.A. Walk Against Domestic Violence – "With Awareness There Is Hope," taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Canterbury Park in Montclair, New Jersey. We encourage Individuals, teams, organizations, and businesses to participate in our walk, either in-person or virtually. The event is always motivating, uplifting, and fun. The route is an easy walk compatible for all ages and ability levels.Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing advocacy, support services, and referrals for temporary housing to families impacted by domestic violence. Our mission is to empower survivors by helping them build safe, self-sufficient, confident, and successful lives. Registration for individuals starts at $20. Team Captains can pre-register for $45 and have team members
sign up for $20 each. Teams can choose to represent a business, organization, or community group - a
