Upstate Films will host a special screening of Redemption Time, a concert film by local filmmaker David Gonazalez. The film features poet Jimmy Santiago Baca and jazz violinist Christian Howes—two formerly incarcerated artists who reclaimed their lives through art. The screening will benefit Ulster Literacy Association, a local nonprofit that provides free literacy and language education to adults throughout the county, including inside Ulster County Jail.

Following the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring the director and representatives from Ulster Literacy Association.

Be part of an unforgettable evening of art, music, second chances, and exploring the transformative power of literacy and art in support of adult literacy programs.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, with all proceeds going to Ulster Literacy Association.
