**\ Award-Winning Comedy DOG MOM Opens Locally, Partnering with Regional Animal Shelters** The hit stage comedy DOG MOM comes to The Open Eye Theater, in Margaretville this season, bringing high-caliber professional theater to the area while raising awareness for regional pet adoption through a partnership with Heart of the Catskills Humane Society and Superheroes Humane Society. Written by award-winning screenwriter and playwright Tate Hanyok, DOG MOM arrives with significant national prestige. Honored as a winner at the B Street Theatre New Comedies Festival, published by Broadway Play Publishing, and selected for a National New Play Network (NNPN) Rolling World Premiere, the production follows Liz, a career-focused New Yorker whose life turns upside down when she reluctantly fosters a stray dog. Playwright Tate Hanyok, named one of MovieMaker Magazine’s "25 Writers to Watch," brings a prominent industry background to the production. Her credits include writing and executive producing the Hulu original film Sex Appeal, as well as producing and starring in Love and Baseball on Max. With appearances in nearly 100 national commercial campaigns alongside extensive work in television and regional theater, Hanyok’s involvement marks a major cultural moment for the local arts scene. In alignment with the play’s themes of adoption, the production is partnering directly with Heart of the Catskills Humane Society and Superheroes Humane Society. Show organizers will highlight adoptable pets across their website and social media channels leading up to opening night. In the theater lobby, audience members can view adoption walls featuring photos of available animals, drop off donated pet supplies in designated collection boxes, and meet shelter representatives in person on select performance dates to learn more about local rescue efforts. 10/15 through 10/25  theopeneyetheater.org  845-586-1660%20586-1660) $25, $10 students, Fridays Pay What You Will
