LEGACY — A Music Play Based on a True Story

LEGACY, a music play written and directed by Shauna Kanter, tells the true story of a young American woman who uncovers her father’s hidden past—and his dangerous journey to rescue a Jewish family from Nazi Germany in 1939.

Set between 1968 and 1939, the production combines live Klezmer music and singing with archival image projections to illuminate a story of courage, family, responsibility, and the choices ordinary people face in extraordinary times.
